Rebecca Sullivan is a professional health advocate, with over 15 years of program development, consulting and entrepreneurial experience in private and non-profit organizations. Following are some of her recent accomplishments:
The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, Englewood Cliffs, NJ – As a program consultant, assisted in the development and funding of a new honor society for medical students to recognize humanism. Advised the Board on developmental strategies to secure the interest and professional support of the medical education community.
Developed promotional materials for the society (The Gold Humanism Honor Society), and helped secure funding for the initial thirteen chapters. Assisted in attracting a significant endowment gift for the new society.
Pfizer, Inc., New York City – Wrote articles for first issue of Civic Affairs newsletter conceived for U.S. voluntary health organizations, “Views Making News”. Subjects covered were: drug research and development; SCHIP legislation; disease management; Pfizer philanthropic programs; erectile dysfunction (articles available on request); provided research assistance to Director of Civic Affairs.
New York State Council for Community Behavioral Health Care, Albany, NY – Lobbied for issues related to mental health; attended meetings with government officials from the Office of Mental Health, the Governor’s office, and legislators serving on mental health committees in the Assembly and Senate; analyzed legislation and drafted memos of support and opposition; drafted testimony for public hearings; participated in the planning and coordination of the Council’s annual conference in Saratoga Springs, New York.
St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, New York City – Solved patient and family problems in several units including the emergency room; documented cases within the hospital system.

Rebecca served as Vice President of OperaVision, Inc., New York City, a film and television production company that developed a one-act opera film series for international television, and was Director of Sullivan & Lindsey Associates, New York City, an artists’ management firm that represented and managed the careers of classical musicians. She is a graduate of the Florida State University School of Music, and holds an M.A. in Health Advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College.
